One Day?

One Day?

Do you know how you’re always told that everything will make sense to you later on down the road?

Did this also apply to overthinkers and over-analyzers? Because I’m not so sure. I get that the easy response would probably be not to be an overthink, but I’m convinced that when you say that you’ve never spent a night in a car conversation with one.

We don’t stop. We play every situation in our heads thousands of times. We’re what Doctor Strange wishes he was in that Avengers movie. You know? When he looks into the future 15 million times and only sees one favorable possible outcome? (Spoiler Alert, I guess).

I know I’m not the only one with that misfortune. I can’t be.

So, what realistic advice would you give someone who loses sleep thinking about the next steps? What realistic advice would you give to someone who can’t stop playing situations back in his mind? Lastly, what realistic advice would you give to someone who replays a situation with the words he never said.

The same kid who had trouble making a move for a first kiss is the same man who can’t seem to speak up until the right time. Maybe the best adjective for this would be coward. I don’t know, but please rush to your nearest overthinker to break it down if you can figure it out.
