List of Demands

Before we talk about having a baby, I have a list of demands. Is that too much to ask?

It took me a lot to write this because I’m aware you already have to do the heavy lifting. I guess it doesn’t sound right that I’m already demanding, and you have to perform miracles in your body for nine months or something.

Just give me a few minutes of your time, and I hope that it’s not too much to ask, so here goes.

Could we be like a super team?

I don’t want to be a traditional family if we don’t need to be. My kiddo can see that we’re both strong, but we both have vulnerabilities. As much as I already love this kid, I don’t want to stop growing because of them. I want them to see we can keep growing for ourselves and them.

Can we still travel?

I’m talking about taking the baby with us everywhere we can. I want to do the whole aquariums and zoos if that’s still a thing. Even if it’s not a thing, let’s go walking around places we haven’t walked through and take pictures of our baby to show them later. We can even teach them a little bit of history in real life.

Could we make sure that he speaks clear Spanish?

Let’s face it, I’m pretty dark, and the chances of this baby being light skinner are highly unlikely. I want them to be proud of their culture: cowboy hat and boots and all.

I want them to try as many hobbies as possible.

Like everything, I want them to try playing every sport, and I especially want them to try Jiu-Jitsu. I want them to get challenged, and I want to see them get pushed outside of their comfort zone from a young age.

Could we send them to a public school?

I haven’t met too many kids that weren’t stand-offish that went to private school. I don’t want to hide my kiddos from the real world, and a public school education helps teach that life isn’t always fair.

I don’t know; these are just a few lists of demands before we can consider going half on a baby. I’m young, but I still have many things I have to do before I can consider it.
