I’m not sure I’m very well qualified to speak on life lessons, I only have about 28 years of experience.
I think that one thing I’ve learned about life is that sometimes things work, and other times they do not.
You can try your hardest to make something work, but that doesn’t do much to change the outcome.
It’s like a puzzle of 1500 pieces that you have, and you only have one piece left, but you realize that it doesn’t go in the last spot. Sometimes it’s just the wrong puzzle piece, and no matter what you do, it doesn’t belong to that particular set.
You have two options once this sort of situation arises; one, you could keep trying to make it work and act like that piece of the puzzle goes there or two; you could just move on from this puzzle piece and start a new puzzle set altogether.
I’ll give you this, there will be a lot more hesitation to go with the second choice, and it’s going to be difficult because you’ve worked so hard on the 1500 puzzle set.
You’ll know you’re truth even if nobody else sees the one-off piece. You’ll see that you moved on because there was nothing else you could have done to make it all work out properly. You’re just covering up the fact that it almost came together, but it still doesn’t go.
Life seems to give you many of those opportunities with every aspect of your life. I believe there’s still an opportunity that you may have stepped on that puzzle piece, and you dragged it under your couch, and you’ll end up being able to complete that set, but I think that only happens in lucky situations. Those situations are extensive tests too. This situation gives you that sudden feeling of a punch to the gut. Where you think all of the time you invested in this set is all going to be a waste.
I guess there’s always that third option of not stopping until you find that last puzzle piece, and not staying until you find it.
