Sunset The day ends. We go about our day. Does the sun wonder if we miss it as soon as it’s done with us? Does the sun wonder how our night will go? Does the sun know how much we think about it before going to bed? Wondering how brightly it will shine the next morning. How some people count on it to make their day. How some people count on it to hide just for the day. The sun must realize how much we despise it during the record-setting temperatures, right? Even then, it knows we need it, so it sets knowing it’ll be there the same time it always is (for the most part). Does the sun know how much we pay extra because of the heat it causes during the summer? Does the sun think that’s funny and seems to shine brighter and stronger every other year just to prove it’s strength? How often does the sun wish it could hang out just a few more hours at night? How often does the sun see the beginning of a great night just to get ready to go away? Does the sun know how we act once it sets? Is that why it hides? Does the sun ever wonder what it’s about to miss out on? Does the sun ever wonder what we enjoy more? Does the sun love the moon? Does the sun even care about it? Will the sun ever change its mind about when it will set? Does the sun understand the concept of time and has it been playing along with us since the beginning? Does the sun know we wait for it to set to get the better clouds? Does the sun team up with God to make the clouds look like cotton candy? Does the sun ever weep for those that won’t be around to see it rise the next morning? Does the sun ever have a long day? I wonder if the sun smiles in every picture we take while it sets.
