Waking up on the wrong side of the bed is underrated.
For starters, waking up on the right side of the bed doesn’t mean you’ll be mistake free. Matter of fact, you may find that majority of your days that are “bad days” you woke up on “the right” side of the bed. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed means that you’re ready to change something about your day so early and you’ve already got that momentum going. Shoot, who doesn’t need that now and then? Maybe we should make it a thing in which every night before you go to bed you decide whether or not it’s time to start making some changes. As soon as you decide that you’re going to need a different mentality, you decide right then and there that you’re going to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. It’s all about the mentality, right? You make the bed you sleep in (pun intended, hehe).
Why not have more moments where you have the last word regarding change? Maybe the next time that somebody asks if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, I’ll smile and say yes. Better yet, if somebody mentions that I woke up on the right side of the bed, I’ll simply smile and say that I did not. Who decided that waking up on the wrong side of the bed meant that it automatically had to be such a bad thing anyway? Allow yourself to be the ultimate decision-maker in that phrase.
