I have this weird habit that I picked up a while ago which was to write down my dreams as soon as I have them. Matter of fact, the last few dreams I’ve woken up from, I spoke into a voice memo. I have a tough time remembering my dreams after I completely wake up, so all you hear is my groggy voice mumbling through details that make me cringe as I play it back. I started recording my dreams because although many of them can be random, it’s interesting to know what my subconscious mind thinks about when I’m completely shut off. Plus, I’m an over-analyzer so it’s fun to try and analyze those things. Either way, it’s a fun thing to do. 10/10 I’d recommend. While I enjoy the dreams I have while I’m asleep, the ones that interest me the most are the ones I’ve held onto for the longest.

Dreams that I can attain and physically work towards are what motivate me to keep going. “The Marathon Continues” is my favorite saying for a reason. As soon as I heard Nipsey Hussle talk about it, I couldn’t let it go. I remember hearing something from him that mentioned something similar to the fact that once we stop dreaming, we die. So, that’s what makes life a marathon. My dreams in no particular order go like this;

1. Move to NYC – C’mon, who’s dream isn’t it to be in a city where it’s all hustle and bustle?

2. Small Destination Wedding – just a few homies and family. Getting drunk and dancing around? That’s priceless to me.

3. Playoff Game at the Linc – Rowdy Eagle Fans? Say less.

4. Lakers vs Knicks at MSG – The Garden? With Spike Lee in attendance? That’d be sweet.

5. Writing A Book – About what? I have no clue. Having someone ask me to sign their book though and having an open discussion about it? Why the heck not.

6. Having a Godchild – I’m so ready to spoil the heck out of someone already. Even if it’s not my kiddos yet. Treating him/her as one of my own and coaching them in little league sports? Dreamlike.

Probably just a few to name, but regardless, still big dreams to me.

Time to get to work. 💪🏽
