Complete

While my world is going through something I’ve never experienced and hope to never experience again with this whole COVID-19 thing, I’ve found comfort in thinking of the times where I felt complete. Here are a few times that come to mind.

  1. Skydiving: It’s so hard to explain this one, but it’s probably the one thing that brings tears to my eyes. Facing your biggest fear is never easy, and for me it wasn’t easy to complete after 3 unsuccessful attempts due to cloudy days. Hearing everyone tell me that it just wasn’t meant to be made it that much sweeter.

  2. Eiffel Tower: The fact that I was raised in Las Vegas means that I get to often see the miniature version of the Eiffel Tower in town. Once I got to take the trip to Paris and see it up close, you just feel a couple of butterflies in your stomach and an overwhelming feeling of joy.

  3. Little Sister Being Okay After Birth: One of my first memories is remembering when my mom was brought into labor early for my little sister. She was 2 months premature. I didn’t get the chance to see her until a week after. When I finally got to hold her, I promised to take care of her forever.

  4. Watching My Bro Win an Elementary School Title: Almost nothing beats watching your kid brother live out the dreams you wanted to live out. It’s even better when you get the chance to watch from the sidelines as a coach. Winning those titles was one of my favorite things to do.

  5. A First Kiss: you know in that movie, “59 First Dates” where she forgets every first kiss and says that nothing beats a first kiss? Well yea, that feeling for me has never failed to be so nerve wrecking. Nothing compares to the butterflies beforehand.

After this pandemic, I’m on a mission to keep growing this list. (Minus the first kiss thing, don’t get the wrong idea, lol)
